How To Ace Your Next Interview Outfit!
Like most people I know, getting ready for a job interview means polishing up the resume, studying the ins and outs of the industry, and perfecting that firm handshake. But the hardest thing to plan out isn't how you'll answer the questions they'll ask, but what you'll be wearing when you do! Most of the time, you don't need to run out to the department store to get an interview outfit- chances are, many essential pieces are in your closet already. For an interview with a more conservative industry, go with your trusted pant or skirt-suit, but bring in a touch of your personality with a brightly colored blouse. For more creative industries, try your hand at a belted long sleeve dress with a chic trench coat. As far as accessories go, it's best to play it safe by staying away from open-toed shoes as well as distracting and fussy jewelry. Stick to comfortable pumps or flats and an understated cuff bracelet or stud earrings. Remember that it's an interview and not a fashion show- the more comfortable you are, the more confident you'll feel, and prospective employers will see that right away!
